Rating Influencer Brand Connection Platforms

If you're curious about how I connect with brands, I have multiple methods. I collaborate with a few creator agencies, brands contact me directly, and, as we'll discuss today, I use brand connection platforms. Over the past two years, I've partnered with several platforms to secure paid, gifted, and affiliate collaboration opportunities. I'll be rating these platforms on a scale of 1-10 based on four criteria: availability of opportunities, micro-creator (under 10k) friendliness, payment, and content creation flexibility.

Nuri Lounge - 9/10

I've been using Nuri Lounge for about a year. This platform excels at connecting creators with KBeauty brands. I started with just 1,000 TikTok followers and quickly secured paid collaborations. Nuri Lounge is incredibly supportive of micro-creators, and as you stay longer, your acceptance rate increases. I was landing about 10 brand collaborations monthly with 1,000-5,000 followers! Payments vary by brand, but I receive $3-10 USD per video plus gifts. The platform offers significant creative flexibility for video content. I genuinely enjoy using Nuri Lounge and rate it highly for its excellent customer service and its pivotal role in launching my TikTok content creation career.

Picky - 7.5/10

I've been with Picky for about six months. This platform not only connects creators with KBeauty brands but also offers non-KBeauty opportunities. Picky functions as both a brand connection and a social forum platform, allowing users to rate their experiences with skincare, haircare, and makeup products. They welcome micro-creators, and although it took some time to get my first brand collaboration with 2,000 followers, Picky provides numerous paid opportunities ranging from $10 to $100 USD per video. There are also chances to earn bonuses for high-performing content. While the platform has connections to popular KBeauty brands, content creation flexibility is limited due to required scripts and multiple revision requests. Customer service can be challenging to reach; once, I had to purchase a product myself, without reimbursement, to avoid penalties. Despite this, Picky remains a valuable platform for brand collaborations.

Kale - 8.5/10

Kale is an excellent choice for seasoned content creators with over 1,000 followers and high engagement. While Kale doesn't offer gifted products, it compensates based on video engagement. The platform collaborates with major brands across various categories. Although there's a waitlist for big names, you can secure opportunities at least once a month. Cross-posting on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest can increase your bonuses. I recommend Kale if you already possess the products in brand campaigns or can achieve high engagement to profit after purchasing campaign products.

Skeepers - 8/10

Joining Skeepers requires at least 1,000 TikTok or Instagram followers, or 500 YouTube subscribers. While the platform hosts prominent brands, they're selective with creators. However, smaller brands are more open to working with micro-creators. Don't hesitate to apply to big brands—some accepted my applications! Skeepers primarily offers gifted products, but some brands may establish affiliate roles or future collaborations. The platform features diverse brands, including clothing, skincare, makeup, haircare, food, and appliances. You can apply to five campaigns at a time, preventing content creation overload. I recommend Skeepers for newcomers comfortable with gifted or affiliate collaborations.

Noise - 6/10

After discovering Noise on TikTok, I decided to explore it. Although Noise doesn't provide gifted products, it connects creators with brands in various niches, from cryptocurrency to language learning. While these aren't my primary focus, I explored Noise for research purposes. The platform features an automatic post builder for creative blocks, offering images and captions for posts. Noise pays based on engagement, typically $0.75-1 USD per 1,000 views. If you achieve high engagement, it can generate passive income. Noise is user-friendly, regardless of your creative idea flow.

Pickple - 8.5/10

I've recently started using Pickple, and it offers a wide array of categories, including KBeauty skincare, haircare, snacks, and beauty. Campaigns start at around $5 USD, but cashing out can be challenging. The PayPal threshold is high, while the Amazon gift card threshold is lower. Similar to Skeepers, you can engage in up to five campaigns at once. Brands may request resubmissions if you don't meet hashtag and caption criteria. Deadlines are strict, with no leniency, which is fair. Overall, my experience with Pickple has been highly positive.

AmbassadHer - 4/10

AmbassadHer was the first platform I explored. Despite promising advertisements and emails, it fell short. While it offers paid opportunities for product reviews, there aren't many big-name brands. However, it is micro-creator friendly, requiring no followers to join. Assignments involve purchasing products, then receiving reimbursement and payment. Delays in payment are a significant issue, with some taking months despite multiple customer service contacts. Although I'm giving it another chance, my initial experience was unsatisfactory, with payments significantly delayed.

TikTok Shop - 9/10

TikTok's pilot program for creator rewards and affiliate earnings is impressive. I joined with about 3,000 followers, but others with fewer followers are also participating. TikTok Shop Affiliate differs from the Creator Program, offering free or refundable samples. While free sample approval is challenging, it's achievable. Refundable samples require purchasing products with discounts, and after achieving sales, you're refunded. I've received several samples and earned about $40 in commission within two months, which is a promising start.

Amazon Influencer Program - 9/10

The Amazon Influencer program is open to everyone, regardless of following. You upload shoppable videos to Amazon, earning commission from purchases. Additionally, you can earn from promo codes and bounties. The creator portal connects you with brands, occasionally providing free samples for promotion. Opportunities for increased commission are available depending on the product or campaign. You can share your page or video links on other social media to attract more visitors and conversions.
